that charity begins at home and at HELP we agree.
However, as you will see from our overseas projects we just happen to
believe that it should not stop there either! At home we are providing help and advice on issues relating to marriage, parenting and the difficulties that arise when marriages and relationships end. In particular we provide advice and help in easing the pain caused over contact between children and parents when Mum and Dad no longer live together. HELP also has contacts in many other organisations who offer advice and assistance on issues such as debt, drug abuse, crisis pregnancy and domestic violence. We have a Furniture Exchange to help those who are setting up home in difficult circumstances. In 2004 we are hoping to have a HELP Centre in Holt where we can expand these services to the local population. Plaese feel free to give us a call - if we cannot help we probably know someone who can! |
