Europe's Worst Football pitches, Page 2

Cervières, Briançon, Hautes-Alpes, France

Unsuitability for play

Scenery
Surface: Grass
Obstacles: 1300m Altitude, Tour de France, Overhead power cables
Stuck on the side of an alpine mountain, in a remote part of France, about 3 miles from the Italian border is this fine, yet useless football pitch. If you go outside of summer you will surely find a thick blanket of snow hindering play.
And beware of mad cyclists in the summer, the route through the village is popular with those Tour de France boys, and cycling wannabees.

Schaan, Oberland, Liechtenstein

Unsuitability for play

Scenery
Surface: Grass
Obstacles: Flooding, small children, Croatian synchronised swimmers
Ok, not too bad a pitch but it is right next to a field of cabbages and a car park.
And hang on a minute, its in Liechtenstein, just where is that? It's a tiny 'country' and somewhere you definitely don't find by accident.
This country is so small that what you see in the photos is just about the extent of the land area. 'Tis a silly place.

Hameln, Niedersachsen, Germany

Unsuitability for play

Scenery:
Surface: Grass, mud
Obstacles: Tree on the pitch, Island location
The town of Hamelm claims to have over 80 sports clubs, with football being the most popular, so where did they wrong with this rubbish pitch?

This isn't really a pitch as there is only one goal post. It's on an island with no real fixed boundaries, don't come crying to me if you loose your ball in the Weser River.

However there is a cracking view of any match played here if you just climb the tree.
